Rockland Rockies Partner with NY Rangers and Dunkin Donuts: Girls Try Hockey for Free!
Sport-O-Rama Ice Rinks in Monsey, NY, hosted a special event featuring Aerin Frankel from the Olympic Team and PWHL. Designed for girls aged 5 to 10 with little or no skating experience, the session kicked off the Jr. Rangers Girls Programs.
Rangers Alumni and experienced instructors, along with our Rockland Rockies, provided professional guidance, while participants enjoyed free rental skates, loaner gear, and received a complimentary Rangers hockey stick, and swag bag from the Rockland Rockies. The day culminated in a post-skate meet and greet with Gold Medal goaltender Aerin Frankel!
The Rockland Rockies Girls Varsity Team played an instrumental role in supporting the NY Rangers organization, creating a wonderful partnership that allowed varsity players to share their passion for hockey with young girls learning to skate for the first time. Overall, it was a memorable day that marked an exciting introduction to the sport for many young skaters.
Team Spirit Night: Celebrating Women in Hockey!
Our Booster Club hosts epic celebrations to honor women in hockey each year. The energy in the stands is incredible as fans cheer on the female athletes on the ice. It is wonderful to see to many alumni attending the game, cheering on their former teammates. The Rockland Rockies truly are a family, and it we are always so happy to see our crew back together again! With raffles, trivia, amazing prizes, and a live organ player, the event was packed with fun and excitement. A huge thank you to our amazing fans who continue to come out and support our team—you’re what makes these events so special! It was a night to remember, celebrating the women who are breaking barriers and showing what true talent and determination look like!
